EMS Limited, a Ghaziabad-based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm specializing in water and sewerage infrastructure, has emerged as the lowest bidder for two major projects valued at Rs 202.85 crore awarded by UP Jal Nigam (Urban). The contracts include the Agra Water Supply Reorganisation Scheme and the Nagar Nigam Ayodhya Sewerage Scheme, with timelines of 24 and 21 months respectively. These wins reinforce EMS’s growing order book of Rs 2,236.43 crore as of March 31, 2025, and mark its continued expansion across northern and western India, reflecting its leadership in turnkey water and sewerage solutions.

EMS Limited's Strategic Wins in Uttar Pradesh

EMS Limited announced it has secured the lowest bidder (L1) status for two significant infrastructure projects under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban). These contracts collectively amount to Rs 202.85 crore and reflect the company’s increasing dominance in the water and sewerage infrastructure sector.

The first project, valued at Rs 104.05 crore, is part of the Agra Water Supply Reorganisation Scheme (Trans Yamuna Zone I & II). The scope encompasses comprehensive surveying, soil investigations, engineering design, and the supply of all necessary materials, tools, and labor. The project includes the construction, testing, and commissioning of an intake well-cum-pump house, an approach bridge, and a water treatment plant within Agra. EMS anticipates completing this initiative within 24 months, thereby addressing critical urban water infrastructure needs.

Simultaneously, EMS secured a Rs 98.8 crore contract for the Nagar Nigam Ayodhya Sewerage Scheme on a turnkey basis. This project requires the completion of Package 2, involving detailed surveying, design, material procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Scheduled for completion within 21 months, this sewerage infrastructure development aims to enhance urban sanitation standards in Ayodhya.

Robust Order Book and Regional Expansion

EMS’s project wins contribute to its substantial order book standing at Rs 2,236.43 crore as of March 31, 2025, underscoring sustained momentum in securing public infrastructure contracts. Incorporated in December 2010, EMS has steadily expanded its geographical reach, delivering water and sewerage infrastructure solutions across Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and recently entering West Bengal.

Chairman Ramveer Singh emphasized EMS’s commitment to delivering turnkey water supply and sewerage solutions that meet world-class standards. “We have been working closely with local and state governments, particularly in northern and western India, to upgrade critical infrastructure and improve public health outcomes,” Singh stated. This strategic focus aligns with India’s broader infrastructural development goals and urban modernization efforts.

Technical Expertise and Project Execution

EMS’s comprehensive capabilities encompass all stages of EPC—ranging from preliminary site surveying and geotechnical assessments to detailed engineering, procurement of materials, construction, and final commissioning. Such turnkey expertise is vital for managing complex urban water supply and sanitation projects that demand integration of multiple components under tight regulatory and environmental standards.

The company’s ability to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects within stipulated timelines, while maintaining high-quality benchmarks, positions it as a preferred partner for government agencies driving urban infrastructure development.

Outlook: Positioning for Growth in India’s Water Infrastructure Sector

With escalating urbanization and increasing government focus on water and sanitation, companies like EMS are poised for growth. The company’s robust project pipeline and diverse geographic footprint provide resilience amid a competitive market environment.

The successful execution of these Rs 202.85 crore contracts will not only reinforce EMS’s track record but also expand essential infrastructure that supports public health and economic productivity in key Uttar Pradesh cities.

As India continues to invest heavily in water and sanitation infrastructure to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), EMS Limited’s integrated approach and growing order book suggest it is well-positioned to capitalize on this expanding market.
