A strategic collaboration between India’s largest port operator and a major European maritime hub is reinforcing momentum behind the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd and France’s Port of Marseille Fos are aligning infrastructure capabilities to enhance trade flows, logistics efficiency and supply-chain resilience along the emerging corridor.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. has announced a Rs 16,000 crore investment for Phase II of the Vizhinjam International Seaport, reinforcing India’s push to emerge as a major global transshipment hub. The expansion is expected to significantly enhance cargo-handling capacity, deepen infrastructure resilience, and strengthen India’s position along critical global shipping routes. Strategically located near international sea lanes, Vizhinjam is central to the country’s maritime and logistics strategy.

Exports from the Indore Special Economic Zone recorded steady growth in the latest financial period, rising 8 percent year on year to cross Rs. 10,000 crore. The expansion reflects resilient demand across key sectors, improved manufacturing efficiency and supportive trade policies. Electronics, pharmaceuticals and engineering goods remained the primary contributors, while service exports also posted incremental gains. Officials attribute the performance to infrastructure upgrades, faster clearances and deeper integration with global supply chains.
