India has taken a significant step toward strengthening international workforce collaboration with the launch of a Japan-oriented training centre through a partnership between the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Manipur University. The initiative is aimed at equipping Indian youth with language proficiency, technical capabilities and cultural orientation required for employment opportunities in Japan. The centre reflects India’s broader strategy to align skill development with global labor market demand, particularly in aging economies.
