Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd (JFL), the operator of Domino's Pizza and other quick-service restaurant (QSR) brands in India and several international markets, has reported robust financial growth for the fiscal year 2025. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations surged by 34% to Rs 2,107 crore in the March 2025 quarter, while the fiscal year saw a remarkable 44% increase, reaching Rs 8,145.5 crore. This performance was significantly driven by the acquisition of a controlling stake in DP Eurasia NV, the exclusive master franchisee for Domino’s Pizza in several key international markets.

Robust Growth Driven by International Expansion

Jubilant FoodWorks continues to solidify its position as a leader in the QSR sector, demonstrating impressive growth both in its core markets and internationally. A significant driver of this surge in revenue was the acquisition of a controlling stake in DP Eurasia NV, the franchisee managing Domino’s Pizza operations in Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. This acquisition has significantly expanded JFL's global footprint and contributed to the 34% increase in consolidated revenue during the March quarter.

The company’s international portfolio now includes more than 3,000 Domino's stores worldwide, including operations in India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Azerbaijan. By acquiring a controlling interest in DP Eurasia, JFL has further expanded its presence in the Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Georgian markets, solidifying its position as a dominant player in the international pizza industry.

Standalone Performance Shows Healthy Growth

On a standalone basis, JFL’s revenue from operations for the March 2025 quarter increased by 19.1%, reaching Rs 1,587.2 crore. This reflects strong performance in the Indian market, where Domino’s remains a popular choice for consumers. The company's fiscal year 2025 revenue on a standalone basis also saw a commendable increase, rising by 14.3% to Rs 6,104.7 crore.

The performance of Domino’s India, which is the largest contributor to JFL’s revenue, remains strong with the addition of new stores and continued consumer demand for its offerings. The company's Indian operations opened 52 new stores, bringing the total to 2,179 stores by the end of the quarter, further cementing its position as the second-largest Domino's franchise network globally, behind only the United States.

Store Expansion and Network Growth

JFL's focus on expanding its network continues to drive growth. As of the end of the March quarter, the total number of stores under JFL’s umbrella reached 3,316, with 56 new stores added during the quarter. This network includes both Domino’s and other brands under the JFL banner, such as Dunkin' and Hong's Kitchen. The company operates approximately 30 stores each for both of these brands.

Domino’s India, in particular, remains a major contributor to the network's expansion, having opened 52 new stores during the quarter. However, the company also faced some challenges, closing 12 stores in India, likely due to market dynamics and evolving consumer preferences. Nevertheless, the overall store count for Domino’s India remains strong, showcasing the continued success of the brand in the country.

JFL's international operations are also performing well, with Domino’s Turkey, for example, opening 8 new stores during the quarter, bringing its total to 746 stores. This continued expansion in international markets is key to JFL’s strategy of diversifying its revenue streams and building a more resilient business model.

Revenue Impact of Acquisition

The acquisition of DP Eurasia NV has played a crucial role in boosting JFL's consolidated revenue. By expanding its presence in Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, JFL is strategically positioning itself in markets with strong growth potential for the Domino’s brand. This acquisition not only contributed to the company’s consolidated revenue for the March quarter but also positioned JFL to capitalize on future growth opportunities in these markets.

While JFL’s standalone operations continue to perform strongly, the acquisition of DP Eurasia demonstrates the company's focus on international diversification and its strategy of strengthening its global network. With over 3,000 Domino’s stores globally, JFL is well-positioned to continue its expansion efforts and enhance its competitive edge in the international pizza market.

Outlook for the Future

Looking ahead, JFL's prospects remain bright, driven by the company’s robust performance in India and its expanding international footprint. The company’s focus on network expansion, along with the introduction of new menu items and innovative promotional campaigns, will likely continue to drive consumer interest and fuel revenue growth.

The company’s management remains committed to further expanding the Domino’s brand in both domestic and international markets, with plans to continue growing its store network and improving operational efficiencies. Additionally, JFL's strategy of diversifying its portfolio with other brands like Dunkin’ and Hong’s Kitchen provides further avenues for growth and market penetration.

In conclusion, Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd has delivered strong financial performance in the fiscal year 2025, driven by its international expansion and strategic acquisition of DP Eurasia NV. As the company continues to grow its store network and innovate its product offerings, JFL is poised for further success in the global QSR market. With a focus on both domestic dominance and international diversification, Jubilant FoodWorks is well-positioned for sustainable growth in the coming years.
