BLS International Services has been entrusted with a critical mandate by the Delhi state health agency to facilitate beneficiary verification under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). In collaboration with the National Health Authority (NHA), the company aims to distribute health cards to over 6.54 lakh families across the national capital. The initiative will also benefit more than 6 lakh senior citizens under the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana. With previous success in states like Odisha, BLS International continues to expand its footprint in public welfare through robust e-governance and citizen-centric service delivery.
Strategic Partnership with Delhi’s Health Agency
BLS International announced on Wednesday that it has received a formal mandate from the Delhi state health agency to implement beneficiary verification services under the flagship Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY scheme. The move marks a significant public-private collaboration aimed at expediting the distribution of healthcare benefits to economically vulnerable populations.
The agreement, executed in conjunction with the National Health Authority, tasks BLS with addressing the large backlog of pending AB-PMJAY health cards. The firm will operate in strict compliance with NHA protocols and guidelines issued by the state government.
Scope of the Initiative: Reaching the Underserved
The partnership’s core mission is to ensure the issuance of AB-PMJAY cards to more than 6.54 lakh families across Delhi. The broader objective includes bridging gaps in healthcare access and facilitating equitable distribution of benefits under one of India’s most ambitious health insurance programs.
Additionally, a separate but complementary initiative—Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana—will extend Rs. 5 lakh of free annual health coverage to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above. This scheme will directly benefit over 6 lakh elderly individuals, impacting approximately 4.5 lakh families in the national capital.
In total, the two schemes combined will provide critical health insurance coverage to nearly 36 lakh residents of Delhi.
National Momentum: Odisha and Beyond
This is not BLS International’s first foray into large-scale social infrastructure initiatives. The company is already actively involved in implementing similar projects across other Indian states, notably in Odisha, where it is engaged in distributing AB-PMJAY-GJAY cards to a staggering 3.5 crore beneficiaries.
Such wide-ranging engagements highlight BLS International’s operational capability, credibility, and alignment with the government’s digital transformation goals in public health and welfare delivery.
Company Profile: A Trusted Name in Citizen Services
Established in 2005, BLS International Services is a leading global tech-enabled service provider specializing in visa and consular processing, e-governance solutions, citizen-centric services, and biometric verification. The company operates in diverse verticals, including passport issuance, attestation, and retail services, across multiple countries.
With a reputation for operational excellence and scalable delivery infrastructure, BLS International continues to be a trusted partner for both central and state governments in implementing citizen service programs.
Forward Outlook: Digital Governance as a Social Lever
This collaboration underscores a broader trend in India’s public administration—leveraging private sector efficiency and digital platforms to scale essential services. As Ayushman Bharat evolves into a backbone of India’s healthcare safety net, partnerships like these are vital in overcoming bureaucratic inertia and logistical challenges.
For BLS International, the project in Delhi not only reinforces its role in India’s e-governance ecosystem but also aligns with the broader narrative of inclusive growth and digital empowerment. With its established credentials and expanding mandate, the company appears poised to play an increasingly pivotal role in India’s public health infrastructure.
