Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its India-specific AWS Marketplace, enabling transactions in Indian Rupees (INR) for the first time. This move allows Indian buyers to purchase software and digital solutions directly from local sellers through an integrated, compliant platform. By localizing payments and billing, AWS aims to simplify procurement, improve compliance under India’s tax regime, and empower Indian software vendors to scale globally.
